An Exhibition on Fashion, Textiles and Everyday Activism in Waltham Forest
Material Witnesses opens at St Mary’s Church Walthamstow, London E17 9RJ showing from 12 May – 4 August (recently extended until 4 September 2023)
Material Witnesses uses fashion and textiles to explore identity, community, sustainability and spirituality focussing on the lives of people in Waltham Forest. The stories in this exhibition challenge our understanding of activism, looking at the more quiet and hidden acts that bring people together and express who we are.
